 This
casual Hawaii hotel draws vacationing families, celebrating
couples, young singles, and some older guests who’ve
been returning for years. The large, busy lobby is decorated
with Hawaiian art, including a full-sized, century-old,
koa-wood outrigger canoe, and royal standards made of
feathers. Pacific crafts, toys, beachwear, and sundries
are sold in shops on site, and the hotel has several
beachfront restaurants.
Guests can
enjoy surfing lessons, outrigger canoe rides, catamaran
cruises, and beachside massage under a thatched roof
(surcharges). Weekly lobby activities include lei making,
and Hawaiian craft and music workshops. A long-time
musical variety act, Society of Seven, performs every
night but Monday. The resort offers a complimentary
"Vow Renewal" to all married guests. 530 Island-decor
guestrooms feature custom-designed bedspreads, pikake-scented
toiletries, and bathrobes. The beach is steps away from
the pool, and live piano music drifts through the upper
lobby in the evenings.
This Waikiki
beachfront hotel invites couples to Hoi Hou Ke Aloha,
a ceremony to renew their wedding vows. This complimentary
ceremony is held every Tuesday and Friday morning at
8 AM (schedule subject to change), on Waikiki Beach
in front of the Outrigger Waikiki's partner hotel, the
Outrigger Reef.
Guests also can enjoy surfing lessons, outrigger canoe
rides, catamaran cruises, and beachside massage under
a thatched roof (surcharges). Guests with their own
surfboards can ask for available space on the hotel’s
beachside rack (surcharge).

musical production by the Society of Seven performs
