Terms for Wedding Packages

Coordination fees are included in all wedding packages.

Without purchase of a wedding package, coordination fees begin at $1,000 and are required for all weddings.

You must be a registered hotel guest to secure a wedding date and package.

A $1,000 non-refundable deposit is required to secure a wedding date. Packages $10,000 or more require 50% of the package upon the signed event order. 25% of the remaining balance of the wedding package 30 days from the wedding date and the remaining balance 10 days prior to the wedding date unless another deposit schedule has been pre-arranged with the Sales, Weddings and Events Manager.

In the event of a wedding cancellation, deposits on wedding packages are refundable in the following schedule: The $1,000 deposit to secure the date is non-refundable. Cancellations of wedding within 30 days of wedding date will result in a forfeiture of the 50% deposit of the wedding package. Cancellations within 10 days of the wedding date will forfeit 100% of the deposit. Cancellation of vendors hired by the hotel on behalf of guest is subject to individual cancellation policy of each vendor.

Outside vendors are limited and must be approved by the Hotel

Package substitutions are limited

All wedding packages are subject to 2% administrative fee and 4.166% Hawaii State Tax

Hair, makeup and nail vendors provided are subject to an 18% gratuity

Vouchers for food, beverage and massage do not include gratuity

Rooms are subject to availability

All photo packages with Kaua are subject to photographers’ availability. In the event Kaua is not available, a photo credit of $1,250 will be applied towards another photographer of the couple’s choice.

 

Terms for Receptions

You must be a registered Hotel guest to reserve venue space

A signed event order and 50% of estimated catered costs is required to secure an event

The 50% of remaining estimated costs shall be paid in installment payments as outlined in the catering agreement; with all estimated costs paid in full 45 days from event.

Special terms and fees can apply for catered functions with less than 20 people

All outdoor music must end by 10:00pm

All food and beverage catering must be provided by the Hotel

Outside vendors are limited and must be approved by the Hotel

No overnight stay is permitted at the Plantation House after wedding receptions

There is an (8) hour maximum rental for the Plantation House and grounds

All catered functions are subject to set up fees, depending on complexity and location

All events are subject to an 2% administrative fee, and 4.167 HI state tax

All food and beverage is subject to an 18% gratuity

In the event of a catering cancellation with a signed event order outside of 90 days from event date; a charge of $1,000 from the deposit will be non-refundable. 50% of estimated catering costs will be non-refundable for all cancellations made 45-60 days from the event date. Cancellation of function within 45 days of event date will forfeit 100% of all estimated costs. Cancellation of vendors hired by the hotel on behalf of guest is subject to individual cancellation policy of each vendor.
